Anonymous said: Is it alright to sometimes redraw your art (of course crediting you) for practice? Also is it also ok to post it (again crediting you)?

You know, I’ve thought about this for a while.

I think it’s okay, as long as my artwork is credited. I’ve come across a few of my pieces already, re-drawn by others and skewed to their likeness (i.e. Taking a picture I’ve drawn of my Wheatley, tracing over it, andreplacing it with their character), and it makes me a little uneasy when I see obviously traced pieces of my artwork without credit.
But I also take into consideration that I’m posting my pieces onto the internet, where a million eyes can see. I can only hope that when my pieces are copied that it’s actually being used for practice.

Here’s a link that I believe might help those with similar questions about tracing/copying: http://tealin.dreamwidth.org/337639.html#cutid1
The user Tealin has always been one of my many inspiring artists since I’ve begun drawing.

As for those who I’ve seen copy my artwork and replacing this-and-that with their own, I’ve been teetering with speaking up to them about giving me credit for the line-works of their traced piece, or if I should leave it alone since the plagiarized artist is still very much underage. I’ve been leaning more towards speaking up with them, to inform them for future reference. Kids these days.

San Diego Comic Con 2014! ♥

I’ll be there all four days! I just got back from Preview Night, and I can tell it’s going to be fun!

Tomorrow I’ll be cosplaying Link from Windwaker (My friend will be cosplaying Medli), and Saturday I’ll be Queen Elsa.

Who else is going to SDCC?

A small reference for Richard Evincaster, therussianrevolver's original character. I need to work on drawing more males.. //// I put a little chart in there to remind myself how his nose should be drawn. I need to be more particular with the shape of his nose instead of giving him a honker that just sticks out of his face. He isn't usually a man that smiles a lot, I just felt like putting him in a good mood.
I added a small signature in there, just for fun. He’s usually stressed (or drunk) most of the time, so I feel like he’s the kind of person that would write quickly, and end up splashing a few ink blots.
